Created in 1991 by Gerald Armin, has to date produced the European Premier of the Australian comedy Lipstick Dreams - Greenwich Studio Theatre and Shaw Theatre London. Leader of the Pack - The Ellie Greenwich Musical - Duke Of York's Theatre London.
I Can Hear Music - Gilded Balloon Edinburgh Festival. Swingtime Canteen - Kings Head Theatre. World Premier of the play Burning Blue, also at the Kings Head Theatre, which subsequently transferred to London’s Theatre Royal Haymarket where the production was nominated for four Laurence Olivier Awards (winning two), two Evening Standard Awards, a Writers Circle Award and a London Fringe Award. Burning Blue has since played successful seasons in Johannesburg, Tel Aviv, San Francisco, Los Angeles Chicago and New York.
Produced the No 1 National UK tour of Leader of The Pack – The Ellie Greenwich Musical. The World Premier of Tom Crean - Antarctic Explorer - The New York International Fringe Festival 2003 (Best Solo Performance Award Winner) and the Irish premier at the 2003 Dublin Fringe Festival (Best Actor Award nomination). Sunset Bitch - Jermyn Street Theatre London and The New York International Fringe Festival 2005. The critically acclaimed European Premier of the Danny Kaye musical Danny and Sylvia - Jermyn Street Theatre London. Tom Crean - Antarctic Explorer - UK, Ireland, USA and International tours (2003-09) including UK premier Edinburgh Festival ‘06 (Fringe First Winner), Australian premier Adelaide Fringe Festival (Best Solo Show Award Winner) and London premier New End Theatre (Time Out Critics Choice).
Future productions include the continuation of Tom Crean -Antarctic Explorer Ireland and International tours. The World Premier of a new play Chanel by Stewart Permutt and the birth of a new Theatre in London!
Gerald Armin
Gerald was born in Swansea, South Wales and has enjoyed a successful career of over
thirty years in the business. His varied career has seen him as a dancer/actor/singer,
choreographer, director, writer, TV & radio presenter, associated with, and appearing
in, numerous West End musicals, regional theatre tours, television shows, pop videos
and feature films that have taken him all over the world.
Highlights of his career includes, being in the original cast of the 25th Anniversary
production of West Side Story at Her Majesty’s Theatre London, where he also worked
alongside Jerome Robbins as the Dance Captain. Joining the The Royal Shakespeare
Company for seasons in both London and Stratford upon Avon. Having the opportunity
to be directed by Alan Parker in his movie The Wall and appearing at No 1 on Top
of the Pops on several occasions!
In 1991 he formed his theatre production company, Fairbank Productions, which has
seen him produce many successful and award-winning productions both here in the UK
and more recently in Ireland, USA, Australia and Europe.
Gerald has been very lucky enough to work with a huge array of stars across the whole
spectrum of the business - far too many to mention here! – and hopes to continue
to do so for many years to come.
