Gerald Armin

Gerald was born in Swansea, South Wales and has enjoyed a successful career of over thirty five years in the business. His varied career has seen him as a dancer/actor/singer, choreographer, director, writer, TV & radio presenter, associated with, and appearing in, numerous West End musicals, regional theatre tours, television shows, pop videos and feature films that have taken him all over the world.

Highlights of his career includes, being in the original cast of the 25th Anniversary production of West Side Story at Her Majesty’s Theatre London, where he also worked alongside Jerome Robbins as the Dance Captain. Joining the The Royal Shakespeare Company for seasons in both London and Stratford upon Avon. Having the opportunity to be directed by Alan Parker in his movie The Wall and appearing at No 1 on Top of the Pops on several occasions!

In 1991 he formed his theatre production company, Fairbank Productions, which has seen him produce many successful and award-winning productions both here in the UK and more recently in Ireland, USA, Australia and Europe.

Gerald has been very lucky enough to work with a huge array of stars across the whole spectrum of the business - far too many to mention here! – and hopes to continue to do so for many years to come.

In 2010 Gerald took on the biggest challenge of his career when he decided to turn a derelict railway arch into a theatre and create Waterloo East Theatre, London’s new off West End Theatre in the heart of Waterloo...and it all happened in six months!
